Zimmerman of Hardin county have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Elija D. Zimmerman his heirs and assigns forever the following premises Situate in the County of Hardin and in the State of Ohio and in the Military Survey No 12279 and bounded and described as follows: beginning at the South west corner of said Survey at three Elms Running thence N 9 E 80 Poles to a stake thence N 63 E 160 poles to two Swamp ashes thence South 27 East 64.72 poles to a Sugar & buckeye thence South 63 West 20.7.02 poles to the beginning containing Seventy four and two third acres To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said Elija D. Zimmerman heirs and assigns forever. And the said John Zimmerman and Rebecca Zimmerman for themselves and heirs do hereby covenant with said Elija D. Zimmerman heirs and assigns that they are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid and that the premises are free and clear from all encumberances whatever and that they will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said Elija D. Zimmerman heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever In testimony whereof the said John Zimmerman and Rebecca Zimmerman who hereby relinquishes her right of dower in the premises hath hereunto set their hand and seal this 2nd day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight. Smith The State of Ohio Hardin County ss Before me Ephraim Harvey a justice of the peace in and for said County personally appeared the above named John Zimmerman and Rebecca Zimmerman his wife and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed And the said Rebecca Zimmerman being at the same time examined by me apart from her said husband and the contents of said instrument made know to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this 2nd day of June A.D. 1848.
