Obituary of Mrs Eliza McElroy

Eliza Jane McElroy passed from her earthly home at Ada O, to her heavenly home 
on April 6, 1902.  She had attained the rope age of 65 years, 6 months and 
1day.  Mrs McElroy was born in Pennsylvania and was married to Mr Hamilton 
McElroy in the year 1865.  To this happy union were born ten children, seven 
of whom with the husband and father, left to mourn their loss.

Her death was a peaceful one.  Patient and uncomplaining, and offering but 
little pain, she awaited the angel of death, and without fear she entered into 
the "shadow".

Her departure leaves many sad hearts and another vacant place in a happy 
home.  As a wife, mother and neighbor, she was faithful, loyal and constant.  
She gave her heart to Christ in December 1901, and her faith in him was living 
and steadfast, and was her stay and comfort through the increasing weakness of 
the bad months of life.

Loving daughters and son, together with a devoted husband and driends, 
ministered tenderly to her wants and now they cherish Reverently her memory.  
We extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and commend them to the 
care of our Heavenly Father who has promised never to leave or forsake you.
