. Will Book A Page 257
Will of Samuel Carrothers Senr, states he is of Harrison Co, O & directs: 1. 
All debt to be paid
2. Gives to beloved wife Debora Corrithers in lieu of dower for life, the 
plantation on which we now reside viz See No 517 T12 N.E. quarter ctg 160 A & 
all the livestock & at her death s'd tract to be divided equally between my 
four sons, James, Samuel, John & Jesse Corrothers.  Said four sons to pay the 
rest of the "airs" viz:
Margret Perkins $5
William Carrothers $5
Elizabeth Oliver $5
Mary Thompson $5
Deabora Corrothers $50, in one year after the place comes in their hands.
Appoints John Auld & James Smith Exrs.  Dated Jany 8, 1831, Samuel (his mark) 
Corrithers Senr.
Witnesses James C. Guthrie & Robert Auld.  Proven Apr 11, 1831 before Jeremiah 
H. Hallark, Prest Judge & John McCollough, Thomas Bingham & John M. Bean [best 
guess] Associate Judges, Wm Tingley Clerk.
