Thompson Journals Written: March 1, 1861 Will Book C Page 319 Will of George Carrothers of Harrison Co. 1st wife Anne Carrothers to have dower in 2 tracts. 2d gives to sons Beaty & Christopher Carrothers SE 1/4 of Sec 7 Tp 11 Range 6, being the same quarter Sec on which I now reside also to have charge of 1/4 sec willed to my wife & son John so he will not be a charge on anyone. 3d gives to son John Carrothers 1/2 of 1/4 Sec 8 Tp 11 Range 6 left in care of Beaty & Christopher as above mentioned & upon death of wife to be sold & money applied from half give to my wife. gives to son James Carrothers $10 gives to son George Carrothers $10 gives to daughter Margaret Ayers wife of John Ayers $10, these three having recd their portions in my lifetime & the balance to go to my two sons & three daughters Beaty and Christopher, Sarah Ann, Eliza & Mary or their heirs. John's share to be invested for him & at his death to go to five heirs last above named. 4th gives to my 3 daughters equally 110 A to be divided being a part of SE 1/4 of Sec 14 Tp 11 Range 6 To my daughter, Sarah Ann Wilson, the interest of third To my daughter, Eliza Kennedy, one third To my daughter, Mary Carrothers, one third. the land to be sold & Sarah Ann's share to be invested for her & her heirs, but if she should have no heirs, the principal to go to Eliza & Mary. 6th, Appoints John B.
