Hester Sheward was born at Ottawa, IL., Dec. 4, 1864, and departed this life at her home in Napoleon April 7th, 1913, aged 48 years, 4 months and 7 days. When two years of age she came with her parents to Henry county, O., and lived on a farm until about 18 years ago when the family moved to Napoleon. Miss Sheward was a woman of excellent qualities and was held in the highest esteem by her friends. She embodied in her life the spirit of Christianity and was always faithful to her Christian duty.
