[abstract of original obituary]

Miss Emma Sheward, 80, died at her home at 622 Beckham St., Sun. Funeral 
services were at the Boyer-Walker Mortuary, Rev. L.S. Hiles, pastor of Pilgrim 
Holiness Church officiated. Interment Forest Hill cemetery.

Survived by a niece, Mrs. Coral Barager and a nephew, Charles Sheward of 
Napoleon; two grand nieces, Mrs. Roy Parsels, and Mrs. Walter Smith of Toledo.

Long time public school teacher. Four of her former pupils enter the ministry. 
They are: Rev. Clyde Brillhart, Rev. Karl Gerken, Rev. Ben Awe and Rev. Fred 
Reed.

Abstracted obituary from an undated, loose clipping, one of many found in a 
Sheward family photo album. Emma Sheward was the daughter of James and Sarah 
Ann (Maris) Sheward.
