CAUDY. Funeral service for Robert Gray Caudy, 59, 428 Lyndon av, will be held at the Murray Funeral Home at the convenience of the family. Officiating will be Rev. Robert K. Blaine and Rev. Clair S. Emerick. Cremation will follow. Visitation will not be observed. Mr. Caudy was found by his wife Monday at 11:35 a.m. hanging from a rope in the family's garage. According to Dr. Thomas L. Jones, Highland County Coroner, Caudy apparently had placed a rope around his neck while standing on a stool, then shot himself in the left temple with a .22 caliber handgun. Mr. Caudy was employed at Greenfield Municipal Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to the hospital or to the cancer fund. Mr. Caudy was born Oct. 29, 1912 in Rainsboro, a son of David Newton and Emma Gray Caudy. On May 8, 1939, he married the former Mabel Bumgarner, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter, Robert D. and Virgil F. Caudy, both of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Ann Lawson, Jamestown; three stepchildren, Mrs. Chester (Eileen) Knisley, Dayton, John Ford, 428 Lyndon av, and Mrs. Nina McGowan, Delaware; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a sister and a brother, Mrs. Glenn (Jane) Palmer, Norwalk, and Charles Caudy.
