ROBERT W. DAVIS SR.

	Robert W. Davis Sr., 52, of Washington C.H., died at 5:45 a.m. 
Wednesday (Feb. 23, 2000) at Mt. Carmel Medical Center West, Columbus.  He was 
born April 9, 1947, in Highland County, the son of Robert E. W. Davis and 
Sarah (Mootispaw) Davis.
	He was chaplain of the Fraternal Order of the Police in Washington 
C.H. and a Disabled Veteran, having served in the U.S. Marines.
	He was preceded in death by a grandchild in addition to both parents.  
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. (Cokonougher) Davis, whom he married 
Sept. 27, 1975; a son, Robert W. Jr. (Jody) Davis of Wilmington; seven 
daughters;  Tina (Monte) Miller of Washington C.H., Carletta (Steve) Garringer 
of Sabina, Sarah (Chuck) Tackett of Washington C.H., Bonnie Davis of 
Washington C.H., Dixie (Don) Boston of Largo, Fla., Angie (Joel) Panganiban of 
Largo, and Carolyn Forester of Largo; 14 grandchildren; two brothers:  Walter 
(Debbie) Davis of Indiana and John (Lisa) Davis of Sedalia; two sisters, Pat 
(Junior) Penwell of Greenfield, and Barbara Flemming of Greenfield; an aunt, 
Minnie Copeland of Greenfield; an uncle, Jim Davis of South Salem; numerous 
nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mike West of Washington C.H.
	Funeral services by Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield, Oh.
	Burial in South Salem Cemetery.
