The Press Gazette (Hillsboro, Highland Co., OH.)  Feb. 26, 1963.
      Jasper E. Whiting, 78, of 714 South East Street, Hillsboro, died Friday
about 8:50 AM. at Highland District Hospital where he had been confined since
Thursday at 10:40 PM.
     He was born near Mowrystown, the son of Charles and Martha Badgley Whiting,
and lived in that area all of his life except for the past couple of years.  
     He was a retired farmer.
     Funeral services were held Monday at 2 PM. at the Gleason Roberts Funeral
Home, with Rev. Francis Huber officiating and burial followed in New Market
Cemetery.
     He is survived by his wife, Vena, Hillsboro; three sons, Archie, Hillsboro,
Homer, Blanchester and Stanley of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Larrick,
Sandusky, and Mrs. Lucille Hunter, Hillsboro.
