Fold them on her breast. They have been so busy, Let, Oh! Let them rest. Think how they have guided tiny pattering feet Smoothed away the sorrows with their touch so sweet; Banished pain and sorrow, closed at last the eyes Of her loved ones who'll greet her in mansions in the skies. Maggie Bell Clutter Whiting, daughter of Emma and Vincent Clutter, was born near Sardinia, Ohio, Sept. 8, 1875, departed this life June 28, 1952, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 20 days, at her home near Mowrystown, Ohio. She was united in marriage to Jasper Earl Whiting, March 25, 1905. To this union was born five children, Homer and Stanley of Springfield, Archie of Hillsboro, Mrs. Emma Larrick of Sandusky, Mrs. Lucille Hunter of Hillsboro. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, one brother Charles Clutter of Sardinia, one sister Mrs. Mattie Ballein of Hillsboro. She was a member of the E.U.B. Church of Mowrystown. She was loved by all who knew her and led a useful life. By her departure the family and friends have lost a devoted mother and friend. Mother's hands are weary Fold them on her breast Dear, dear hands so gentle They have earned their rest. God was waiting for her And he understands All the work for others Done by Mother's hands. Jasper Whiting and children. The Press Gazette (Hillsboro, Highland Co., OH.) July 1, 1952 Mrs. Maggie Bell Whiting, 76, wife of Jasper Whiting, passed away at her home near Mowrystown. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 PM. at the Gleason Roberts Funeral Home in Mowrystown, with burial at new Market. Besides her husband, she is survived by five children: Homer and Stanley of Springfield; Archie of Hillsboro, Mrs. Emma Larrick of Sandusky, and Mrs. Lucille Hunter of Hillsboro; one brother, Charles Clutter; one sister, Mattie Ballein, 19 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
