I, Jacob Mowery of the Township of Marion & the County of Hocking & the State of Ohio, being of sound mind & memory & considering the uncertainty of this frail & transitory life do therefore make and ordain publish & declare this to be my last Will & Testament: that is to say first after all my lawful debts are paid & discharged the residue of my estate real & personal I give bequeath & dispose of as follows to wit. to my beloved Wife the land & appurtenances situated there on known as the East half of the North East qr of Section Twenty four Township Eighteen Range Seventeen (continuing Eighty Five acres, more or less of the Township, County, & State afforesaid. & also Seventy two Acres of land more or less in Monday Creek Township Perry County, Ohio in range Nineteen Township Fourteen Section Nineteen being the land on which JOhn MOwery's family is at this time livng with the appurtenances thereon. To have & to hold the same during his natural life for his exclusive benefit & after his death to be sold & the proceeds thereof to be equally divide to each of my heirs namely Jacob Moery, John Mowery, Mary Mowery now Miller, Elizabeth Mowery (to her heirs), Sarah Mowery, Cahtarine Mowery now Delong, Geo Mowery, Dolman Mowery & to no one else. Likewise I make constitute and appoint John Hunsaker to be Executor of this my last will & testament hereby reworking old former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name & affixed my seal the 26th day of Jan. 1865 Jacob (X) Mowery (his mark) The above written instrument was subscribed byt eh said Jacob Mowery in our presence & acknowledged by him to us & he at the same time declared the a bove instrument to be his last will & testament & we as the testators request & in his presence ha ve signed our names as our witnesses hereto & written opposite our names our respective places of residence.
