Rev. J. S. O'Keefe celegrated requiem mass and preached an eloquent sermon. The church was well filled with relatives and friends of the deceased many of whom sent tokens of love and esteem in the form of beautiful flowers. As the body was carried from the church the choir sang, "In Thy Sacred Heart, O Jesus." As the friends passed out of the church they gazed for the last time upon the features of the dead. Burial was made in the church cemetery on East Main street, the pallbearers being the following four sons and two sons-in-law: James, Joseph, Frank and Peter Clark; James Madden of Cleveland and Ralph Arthur of East Norwalk.
