Sheppard, 52, of the Media road, suffered an attack if cerebral hemorrhage. It was first thought he had been hit by a car. His dinner pai; was found aat his side. Mr. Sheppard left his home about 1 1/2 miles east of here on Route 18 at 6:20 a.m. with the intention of walking to the city water works station where he was to have (?) a motor car enroute to New London where he had been employed on the WPA sewage project. He was seen lying at the side of the road by Wirt Rogers, Medina road milk dealer. Deputy Sheriff G.R. Stockwell made an investigation. Before Mr. Sheppard could be removed to Memorial Hospital, he died. Coroner J>D> bradish of New London, after confering with the physician who attended the dying man, declared that death was caused by a ruptured blood vessel in the head. Mr. Sheppard is survived by his with Bertha, eight children, Robert of 30 Pitt St., Mrs. Mae Goodsite of 26 Pits St., Mrs. Della Asmus of Norwalk, RFD 2, Roy Sheppard of Huntley, Illa., Mrs Emma Cramer of Norwalk RFD 1 Dan Jr. and Wyne of Norwalk and Myron at home; three brothers and three sisters.
