Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Fiser Funeral Home for Mrs. Emaline Signs, 76, who died Monday afternoon. Rev. V.B.Frederick officiated and the body was taken to North Fairfield for burial. Mrs. Signs passed away at the home of her son, Lawrence Signs on Cherry street about 5 o'clock after a long illness. She was the widow of William Signs who died 16 years ago. She was born in Michigan, January 1, 1861, the daughter of Jesse M. and Elizabeth Dennison Smith. She is survived by three sons, Zachariah of Missouri, Elmer of Milan, and Lawrence of Clyde. A daughter Estel Blanche preceded her mother in death in October of 1936.
