Springer, 78, of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and formerly of New London, died Saturday, February 17, 1996, at Waynesboro Hospital in Waynesboro, PA. She was born May 19, 1917 in Albion, California, the daughter of the late Joseph and Beulah Todd (Paramore) Bartley. Mrs. Springer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Ashland University in 1975. She worked at Christie Lane School in Norwalk from 1972 until 1983 as a special education teacher. She had also worked at the C.E. Ward Co. in New London for several years. Mrs. Springer was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints Ward II in Chambersburg, PA. She was a member of the Ohio Education Association and a member and past president of the New London Garden Club. She was an avid gardener and also a bee keeper. She is survived by a daughter, Marie Annette Campbell, of Greencastle, PA; a son, Dale Kenneth Springer of Monroeville; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren ; three sisters, Irene Runkle of New London, Airel Hoyle of Eugene, Oregon, and Jean Jackson of Gridley, CA; one brother, Raymond Paramore of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Springer, in 1987; and a brother, Clinton B. Paramore, in 1984. Friends may call Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. President Darrel L. Hansen, Branch President of the Ashland Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, will officiate. Burial will be at the Ruggles Cemetery.
