  Before me Daniel S. Pond a Justice of the Peace
  in and for the county aforesaid appears the above
  named James Shepard and acknowledged the
  signing and sealing the above concerning **
  Executor of Wm Shepard late of New London
  deceasedm to be his voluntary act and deed
  This 22nd day Feb. A.D. 1855
