George James

George (Pinkie) James, 69, a resident of the Villa Marie Rest Home and a 
native of Steubenville, died Monday at 1:20 pm.

He had been a stage manager at the Capitol Theater until he retired 5 
years ago.

His wife, Stella Price James, preceded him in death in 1931. 

Mr. James was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

A son of the late Samuel and Mary Elizabeth James, he was born May 1, 
1888.

He leaves two sons, Arthur James of Cambridge Mass., Earl James of 
Weirton: two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Lanaghan of Steubenville, Mrs. 
Donald Dimit of Warren, Ohio; two brothers, Raymond and Chester Harris; 
a sister, Mrs. Della Henry, all of Steubenville and seven grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Shannon Funeral Home today and Wednesday 
from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm. Funeral arrangements will be announced 
later.
