She had been in failing health for the last four months. Mrs. Lanaghan was a member of Holy Name Cathedral and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church. She came to the United Stetes in 1927 and had always been a resident of Steubenville. She leaves two sons, Michael Lanaghan Sr. and John Francis Lanaghan, both of Steubenville, one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Veronica) LaRocco of Cleveland: 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Leo Lanaghan, who died in Germany in 1945 while serving with the U.S. Airborne Division. She was also preceded in death by and infant son and daughter and six brothers and one sister in Ireland. Her husband preced her in death in 1948. She was born July 24, 1884, in County Mayo, Ireland, a daughter of the late Rodger and Ellen O'Grady McGowan. Friends may call at the Mosti Funeral Home from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 10 pm today and Tuesday. A Solemn Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Wednesday in Holy Name Cathedral. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. ----- Submitted by Terri Menzel
