David W. Maxwell, Funeral Notice, February 1934

David W. Maxwell

A military funeral was accorded David W. Maxwell, a veteran of th 157th.
Ohio, at Union cemetery, Wednesday afternoon. The G.A.R. service was
read at the grave, then the firing squad fired a salute and taps were
sounded.

The services were held at the home of his son Wilmer Maxwell on Woodlawn
road, at 3 p.m. Rev. W.E. Tilton officiating and they were largely
attended. Mr Maxwell died at his home, 1507 Pennsyvania Ave.
Steubenville, Ohio Monday, aged 90 years. He was one of the few
surviving members of the G.A.R. in Jefferson County.
