Ernest W. Menzel, 78, of Steubenville, died Wednesday at 8 pm in St. 
John Medical Center.

He was a storekeeper for Standard Slag Co. until his retirement and a 
member of the Calvary United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Willy and Carl, both of Mingo Junction.

He was born in Hamburg, Germany, May 27, 1901, a son of the late Ernest 
W. and Clara Prietzsch Menzel Sr: He was preceded in death by his wife, 
Cora Mae Miller Menzel.

Friends may call at the McClave-Chandler-Mills Funeral Home, downtown, 
from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday. services there Saturday at 11 am; the Rev. 
Robert Hutton, Union Cemetery.
