Jefferson county pg. 392, 393 The last will and testament of Rosanna Smith late of Warren township was this day brought into court and Nathan Harris one of the witnesses to the same appraises in open court and testifies to the due execution of the said will. And afterwards to wit. on the 8th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixsty four came E. b. Yost the other subscribing witness to said will and in open court and oath testified to the due execution of said will, which testimony of said witnesses was ordered to writing and by their respectivly subsribed and filed said will. and it appearing to the court by said testimony that this will was duly attested and executed and that the same was of full age and sound mind and memory and not under any restraint it is ordered by the court that said will be admitted to probate and together with the testimony be recorded. In the name of the Benevolent Father of All: I Rosanna Smith of Warren township Jefferson County Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament. item 1 I give and devise to my son Ferdinand Smith one pair bedsteads one feather bed with a sufficiency of bed clothes for the same. item 2 devise and bequeath to my son Joseph Smith of the State of California on pair Bedsteads one feather bed with a sufficiency of bed clothes for same to be held and kept by my daughter Susan McFarland until called for by the said Joseph Smith. item 3 I devise and bequeath to my daughter Jane Ann Mitchell wife of Thomas Mitchell one B...... item 4 I devise and bequeath to my daughter Susan Mc Farland wife of Benjamin McFarland the balance of all my household and kitchen furniture all the cattle hogs and sheep together with all the personal property owned by me and all debts or claims owing to me to be collected and paid to her the said Susan McFarland paying all my just debts and my funeral expenses and having placed to my remains when buried marble tomb stones the design and price of which shall be at her discretion. I desire that no appraisement and no sale of my personal property be made. In testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal this 20th day of October in the year 1863.
