The book starts out as:
      "A Record of Wills for Jefferson Co in the Territory of the United 
States, northwest of the River Ohio"
Will Book 2 p 191 John Stevens recites that he is of Wells Tp, gives:
To beloved wife Rachel Stevens $280 to be laid out in land selected by her & 
her son Daniel Stevens which she is to have until her death & thereafter
Our son Daniel Stevens to possess by paying the $280 which is to be equally 
divided between him & 8 other children, issue evidently of a former wife.  
Dated Nov 19, 1827, John (his mark) Stevens Probated Apr 21, 1828.
