The cemetery is on private property. You have to stop at the house and ask permission. On this visit the area was very overgrown making it very difficult to get to the cemetery. The cemetery itself was very neglected and overgrown although the perennials were breathtaking. The overgrowth made it very difficult to identify the headstones and take photos. We highly recommend a winter or early spring visit to this cemetery. =================================================================================================================================================================================================== . . . . A gloom was cast over our village and community on last Thursday, March 8th, by the death of Mrs. Alfred Bird, who died of lung fever, aged nearly 48 years. She was only confined to the bed nine days. D-ceased leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss. She was laid to rest Sunday in the Hardinger grave yard. (Loudonville Newspaper - March 15, 1888) Note: Mrs. Bird is not listed on the Hardinger Cemetery list John Mowery, an aged and respected citizen, died Tuesday evening after a long illness of dropsy.
