This man was born in Washington County, Penn., Sept 29, 1806. Moved with his parents in 1812 to Licking County, Ohio, in the neighborhood in which he spent the rest of his life. He was known as “Uncle Jimmy” all through the community and all old and young knew him. He was an upright, honorable citizen, and commanded general respect. He left a wife, five sons and two daughters to mourn his loss, two sons of which, Trube and J. A., are citizens of Newton, the former being in Ohio at the time of his death.
