He was joined in marriage to Mary Hunt, of England, 1848. They came to this country and settled in the township of Mentor in 1850, thence he moved to Concord where he lived for 19 years, and moved to Perry where he died as stated above. Mrs. Mary Hunt Arnold died in 1852, Mrs. Geo Child of North Perry, survives as the representative of that happy union. He was married to Mrs. Bilson who survives to mourn the loss of a dear husband. In this union there was born five children, three boys and two girls; Mrs. William Edwin, Davis, Frank Charles and Clara, all of whom are now living. He was reared in the Episcopal Church, but joined the Methodist Episcopal Church about 30 years ago. He was an earnest and consistent Christian, an affectionate and confiding husband, and a loving father. Honorable and upright in his business relations, he had the esteem of all who knew him. His last days were full of suffering, but his faith failed not, and he died in great peace.
