W. Butterfield, on Friday, April 13, aged 92 years. She leaves a family of four daughter and one son, all of whom were present during her entire illness, and at the time of her death, and did all that loving care could do to alleviate her sufferings and smooth her pathway to the tomb. Her venerable husband with whom she had lived for 66 years, only 6 years preceded her across the river of Death, to wait her coming, and welcome her to the other shore. Her funeral services were held on Sunday, April 15th, at the M. E. Church, in Perry, Rev. Benj. Excell officiating assisted by Rev. Smith, Pastor of the Baptist Church and Elder Richard Shepard and were attended by a large oncourse of sympathizing friends and neighbors, who met to pay the last tribute of respect to one whose home has been among them for nearly half a century and whose many virtues commanded the esteem and admiration of all who knew her. The descendants of the deceased now living number fifty, two being of the fifth generation. The names of her surviving children are as follows: Mrs. L.B. Parker, of Kingsville, Ohio; Mrs. John Dow, of Ashtabula, O.; Mr. J.W. Butterfield, Mrs. J.J. Thompson and Mrs. C. M. Coolidge of Perry, O.
