J. COLE Retired Railroad Veteran Is Summoned Ethelbert J. Cole, aged 80, died at his home at 110 E. Jackson street at 7 p.m. Friday following an illness of a year. Mr. Cole was formerly a Baltimore and Ohio Railroad yardmaster, but had retired from active service 12 years ago. He was born in Cuyahoga Falls, but had made Painesville his home for 46 years. He was a member of the Central Lodge No. 28 F. and A. M. Order of Railroad Conductors. Brotherhood of Railroad trainmen and the P. and W. and O. veterans. He is survived by his widow. Mrs. Nettie J. Cole: a daughter Mrs. Laura Dingley; two sons, Charles B. Cole and Harry E. Cole and five grandchildren. On August 17, 1873, Mr. and Mrs. Cole were married. On August of this year they celebrated their fifty-ninth anniversary quietly at their home, for at the time Mr. Cole was not well. Funeral services will be held at the residence Monday Sept. 5, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Foster C. Anderson of the First Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will in Perry cemetery.
