Frank Nagy Jr. Advertisement Services for Frank Nagy Jr., 90, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hungarian Reformed Church, 601 Plum St., Fairport Harbor. Mr. Nagy died July 18, 2001, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Centerville. Born Feb. 10, 1911, in Fairport Harbor, the son of immigrant Hungarian parents, Frank Nagy Sr. and Julianna Haraszi. He resided there during his early life. He was an avid stamp and coin collector as well as a prolific gardener most of his life. Before his retirement he was a member of the Kiwanis Club and had been a member of Masonic orders for more than 50 years. He also served as an elder in the Fairport Harbor Hungarian Reformed Church of which he has been a member all of his life. After attending Fairport Harding High School, Mr. Nagy initiated a career with the U.S. Steel Corp., beginning in 1928 as a messenger with the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Dock Co. in Fairport Harbor. After 47 years, he retired in 1975, as the Purchasing Agent and Assistant Treasurer of the Pittsburgh and Conneaut Dock Co. in Conneaut. Survivors are his wife, Ester (Oris) Nagy, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage on July 4, 2001; sons, Thomas W. (Meggan) of Tampa, Fla. and Frank III (Carolyn) of Centerville; grandchildren, Deborah Teitelbaum (Ben) of Milwaukee, Wis., Karen Nagy of Columbus, Frank Nagy (IV) of Indianapolis, Ind., Michelle Nagy of Milwaukee and Sarah Nagy of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Rebeccah, Alex and Skylar; step-grandchildren, Brian (Judy) Kohen of Atlanta, Ga. and Kevin (Lisa) Kohen of Dayton; step great-grandchildren, Keely and Christian; and sisters, Elizabeth Papay and Helen Ritari, both of Painesville. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Mulqueeny-Spear Funeral Home,, 312 Eagle St., Fairport Harbor. The Rev. Louis Medgyesi will officiate at services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor.
