Born Jan. 20, 1900 in Chesterland, she had spent most of her life in Perry. Surviving are her husband Clarence: mother, Mrs. Eva May Downing of Perry; eight step-children, James, George, Mrs. Nina Fovargue and Mrs. Ada Mantle of Perry, Roy and William of Painesville, Mrs. Irene Cook of Cleveland and Robert of Middlefield; three sisters, Mrs. George Frost, Mrs. Raymond Tallman and Mrs. Orville Wilhoite of Perry; two brothers, Clifford Downing of Perry and Leonard Downing of Painesville, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Behm Funeral Home in Madison, where services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Robert Weber of Newton Falls, former pastor of Perry Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
