HENRY VAN NESS DIES AT PERRY HOME Perry, April 9-(Special)- Mrs. Henry Van Ness died at her home north of Perry at 6 o'clock Friday morning. Although Mrs. Van Ness had been in poor health for some time, her recent illness only dates back a few days. Mrs. Henry Van Ness was nearly 76 years of age and leaves a husband, two children and several grandchildren. Notice of funeral later. From the Painesville Telegraph, Lake County, OH, 13 April 1909 The funeral of Mrs. Henry Van Ness was held at the home on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. S. H. Bartlett of Painesville conducting the service and Jacob Rowland, D. D. Hamlin, D. A. Colwell, and W. W. Joiner were pall bearers. Many beautiful flowers were noticed. Mrs. S. W. Call gave a spray, the rest being from the family. William Bradway of Sandusky and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jewell and a family from Cleveland were present from out of town. The body was placed in the vault at Perry Cemetery.
