Wilmore Dead M.V. Wilmore, a well known and highly esteemed citizen of this city, died about 6:30 o'clock Friday evening at his home on South Second Street, between Mastin and Neal Avenues. Mr. Wilmore had been working about the yard at his home, and his daughter, who went to call on him, found him lying lifeless on the sidewalk. Help was called and a physician summoned, but too late as life as extinct. The deceased was an ex-policeman of this city, and was of sterling character and was one of the most efficient men who ever served in that capacity. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served with distinction in the Fifth Virginia Calvary. He is survived by a wife and the following children: Mrs. James Lawless and Mrs. Jesse Cron, of this city: Mrs. Flora Dowden, of Blooington, Ill., and Mrs. Effie lawless of Columbus, Ohio. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the residence. Burial at Woodland. Additional Comments: Husband of Elizabeth Wilmore.
