Dillon hsdlsd@earthlink.net July 17, 2007, 2:01 am Cemetery: Scottown Cemetery Name: William (S) Dillon Date Of Photograph: October 1, 1997 Photo can be seen at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/oh/lawrence/photos/tombstones/scottown/dillon102gph.jpg Image file size: 99.1 Kb William (S) Dillon was born in Monroe Co., Ohio in 1838 and resettled as a young boy with his family to Lawrence Co., Ohio in the middle 1840, He eventually met his wife, Rachel "Amanda" Reed, daughter of John and Elizabeth Reed (both of whom are buried in the Scottown Cemetery). Vincent shared his property with three sons, William, Vincent Jr and Henry. They, of course, all became farmers, but William and Henry were also known especially for their blacksmith experience and success. William also is known to have wipsawed the poplar timbers used the in the original construction of the Scottown bridge. William also built a corner Chia cabinet for his home out of local maple wood. This china cabinet is currently in the possession of William's great grandson, Henry S. Dillon. (Henry S.
