The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** The state of Ohio Licking County came before me John Leivern one of the justices of the peace from said County personally came Jacob Neighbarger who being duly sworn according to disposeth and saith that Christian Neighbarger served as private Soldier in the Revolutinary War in behalf of these United States first three months in the spring of 1771 joined the company at Strasberg Virginia Shenandoah County thense marched to or near Winchester Frederick County state afore said and served there three months gaurding the Prisoners, and the aforesaid Christian Neighbarger was called on and in the summer of 1781 was discharged at five days before the surrender of Cornwallis and served three months in that campaign as he verily and further states thee expant saith an sworn to and subscribed before me at the county aforesaid this 30th day of September A D 1833 signed John Leivern Justice of the peace signed Jacob Neighbarger (X) his mark This is to certify that I am and have been accquainted a number of years and I beleive the aforsaid Jacob Neighbarger to be a man of truth , knowing him over five years He has a good recollection and can be relied on. signed John Leivern Justice of the Peace Licking County Ohio
