Another Revolutionary Soldier Gone

ANOTHER REVOLUTIONARY SOLDIER GONE
Zachariah Albaugh, among the last of the Revolutionary soldiers, died at Newton,
Licking County, Ohio,  on December 8th, at the patriarchal age of one hundred and
nine years. He was born in Maryland in 1748, entered the War of the Revolution at
its commencement and remained in the army until its close. He was in the battle
Germantown, frequently saw George Washington, and on one occasion, as a sentinel,
guarded his tent. Mr. Albaugh removed to Ohio in 1847.
