Deck Private memorial services for John W. Deck, 55, of 274 Woods Ave, will be at a later date. Mr. Deck died Saturday afternoon in Arlington Nursing Home. He was born Aug 15, 1929 to the late Joseph E. and Jeanette (Talbot) Deck. He was retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass Corp.; served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; attended St. Francis School; was a member VFW 1060, American Legion Post 85, Eagles 387, and GBBA. Surviving are his wife Jeannine P. (Colman) Deck; three stepsons: Tim Brown and Randy Brown, both of Newark, and Russell L. Brown of New Albany; one step- granddaughter, Mrs. Phil (Pam) Midkiff of Newark; three granddaughters; four sisters: Mrs. Ralph (Jean) Eagle of Jacksontown, Mrs. Homer (Mary) Walton of Sunbury, Mrs. Vincent (Martha) Lononconus of St. Clair Shores, Mich., and Mrs. Arhtur (Mildred) Foltz of Nashport; one brother, Joseph Deck of Heath; one daughter, Jobie K. Deck of Newark; and nieces and nephews. One sister and one brother are deceased. Egan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
