The Newark Advocate and American Tribune, Friday, January 3, 1958, Vol. 212, No. 94, Page 10, Hattie Dicken, 79, Elm St. Resident Dies in Florida.
     Mrs. Hattie Dicken, 79, 328 Elm St., Granville, died Jan. 1, in St. 
Petersburg, Fla., where she had been staying since Nov. 1.
     Born in Newark, May 27, 1878, she lived most of her life in Granville. She 
was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Granville and a member of the 
Centenary Methodist Church.
     She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Anderson, Newark; a son, John 
Dicken, Granville; a brother, Homer Priest, Newark; three sisters, Mrs. Homer 
Dicken, Newark, Mrs. James Lonigan, Newark, and Mrs. Mary Tilton, Columbus; one 
grandchild and one great-grandchild.
     The body is expected to be received at Morrow-Crouse Funeral Home Monday. 
Funeral arrangements are not complete.
