Bertini on 16 November 1997. Jacob Wright, ESQ Squire Wright's death took place at his residence in McKean township, May 8, 1881, at the ripe age of almost four score, years. He was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, April 10, 1802, and brought to Newark, Ohio, in the autum of said year by his father, Abraham Wright, who soon after became an acting Magistrate and prominate citizen of Licking township, Fairfield county, Ohio. The deceased lived here from later territorial times until his death, being a year older than our State. Jacob Wright and Sarah Conard were married in 1825, and nine children were born to them. She died in 1876. He was one of the early members of the Pioneer Society.
