Given under my hand and seal the 30th day of June A.D., 1930 (this is a typo by the recorder, it is 1830). Nehemiah Green, Justice § Rec'd & Recorded July 28th, 1831 Benj. S, Brown, Recorder This deed was transcribed on 16 October 1999 by Patricia A. Johnson. The title of the deed is John Golding, but the text of the deed is Thomas Golden. Was John Goulden's name John Thomas Goulden? Perhaps further research will solve this mystery. It shows that bureaucratic errors are nothing new.
