Golden § This indenture made this third day of January in the year of our Lord one to - deed § thousand eight hundred and thirty two by and between John Golden of the Geo. Whitcraft § County of Warren and State of Ohio of the of the one part and George Whitcraft of the County of Logan and State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said John Golden for and in consideration of the just sum of one hundred sixty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained, sold, released, conveyed and do by these presents give, grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the said George Whitcraft and his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the County of Logan in the State of Ohio on the waters of Mill Creek and Mad River, bounded as follows, beginning at two poplars and hickory westerly corner to the representatives of Lewellin Jones, survey No. 4655, southwardly Ladsnorvais survey No. 9198, beginning with their line north 30 W 130 poles to two beeches and ash westerly corner to their survey; thence south 52 west 128 ÿ to two beeches and ironwood; thence south 38 west 130 poles to a large beech elm and mortor bark; thence north 52 east 126 ÿ poles to the beginning, containing one hundred acres against the claim of all and every person whatsoever, to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all and singular the premises with their and every appurtenances to the said George Whitcraft, his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Golden and his heirs doth forever warrant and defend the title of the said land or parcel of land to the said George Whitcraft, his heirs and assigns forever against themselves and the claim of every person claiming the same in witness whereof the said John Golden, hath hereunto set his hand and seal on the day and year above written. his John Golden X § mark Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of Nehemiah Green E.N. Wilgus State of Ohio, Logan County, §: Personally appeared before me the undersigned, an acting Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid the above named John Goldon, who acknowledged that he did voluntarily sign, seal and deliver the above mentioned deed of conveyance for the purposes therein expressed and desires that the same be admitted to record.
