From the “Bellefontaine Republican”, Bellefontaine, Ohio
12 Mar 1869   On March 4th at Bellefontaine, Mrs. Rebecca Beach, aged 83 years 
24 days. Born in Washington County, Pa. on Feb. 10, 1785. Her parents, Mr. and 
Mrs. Holmes attended Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church. At age 17, she married 
Jonathan Beach by Rev. Andrew Gwyn at Pigeon Creek Church. Came to Harrison 
County, 0. in 1806. Came to Richland County in August 1815 and settled 4 miles 
West of Mansfield. After her husband's death, she moved to Bellefontaine on 
Sep. 27, 1852.
