From the “Bellefontaine Republican”, Bellefontaine, Ohio
11 Apr 1862    On the morning of the 28th inst., Mr. J. Scott Campbell, 
aged 20 years 6 months 1 day. He was attacked in June 1857 with 
inflammatory fever which assumed a low typhoid grade and finally 
resulted in a low or typhoid grade of the bony structure. He had 
thus suffered for five years.
