From the “Bellefontaine Republican”, Bellefontaine, Ohio
18 Nov 1864   On the 3d inst., John Horn, Sr. Born in York Co., Pa. On May 24 
1789. Aged 76 years 5 months 9 days. When quite young, his parents moved to 
Rockbridge Co., Va. where he lived until he married. Married Nancy Shuts. In 
1816 moved to Preble County, 0. and in 1820 to Logan County. Soldier, War of 1812.
