From the “Bellefontaine Republican”, Bellefontaine, Ohio
01 May 1863    In a hospital tent near Vicksburg on the evening of March 2d of
typhoid fever and diarrhea, George Calvin McCraken, son of D.W. and Sarah C. 
McCraken, aged 18 years 8 months 28 days. Member of 96th O.V.I.
