From the “Bellefontaine Republican”, Bellefontaine, Ohio
16 Dec 1870	In Bellefontaine on Dec 8th, Eleanor Patterson, wife of Davis 
Patterson, aged 70 years 10 months 3 days. Nee McCracken, she was born in Adams 
Co., Pa. on 21 Feb 1791; married 28 Oct 1818;  came to Muskingum Co., Ohio on 
09 Nov 1818 and to Bellefontaine in 1832 where she resided except for 8 years — 
4 in Oxford and 4 in Connersville, Indiana.
