From the “Bellefontaine Republican”, Bellefontaine, Ohio
08 Apr 1874	On Mar 20th, John Pegan of DeGraff. Born 20 Mar 1808 in 
Pennsylvania; came to Ohio in 1815; joined the German Reformed Church about 
1830; came to Miami Co., Ohio in 1834 and no German Reformed Church being near, 
he joined the Presbyterian Church in 1842; came to Rushsylvania in 1853 
and in 1855 went to DeGraff. Joined the Baptist Church in 1862 and was a 
Freemason.
