Ford fordnag@yahoo.com November 28, 2006, 11:58 pm From the “Bellefontaine Republican”, Bellefontaine, Ohio 14 Feb 1868 Memories of Jonathan Seaman — Born in Frederick County, Va., Jan. 22, 1799. Emigrated with his parents to Chillicothe on September 10, 1816. Moved to Xenia in 1820. Married Miss Sarah P. Smith, September 17, 1822 by Rev. John Sale. Converted to the M.E. Church under the labors of Rev. Augustus Eddy on December 28, 1828. Came to Bellefontaine in August, 1830. His wife died Jan. 20, 1847 leaving seven children. He married Mary A. Miller on March 26, 1849. Went to Vandalia, Illinois in March 1851. Settled on a farm near Greenville, Ill. the next September. He died on January 13, 1868.
