She was married to Walter Dale, December 20, 1866, with whom she lived pleasantly during the remainder of her life. To this union was born one child a daughter, who with the husband, survive her. In the fall of 1871 at a revival meeting held in the school house on Vermont street, she was converted to a Christ her Savior which seemed to sustain her to every affliction of which seemingly she had more than her share. Yet she never complained, but looked forever beyond as she expressed it a few days before she died to being with her Savior where she believed there would be no more suffering and calmly made plans in regard to her burial and seemed willing and read to go. Many loving hands cared for her during her last sickness for which she many times expressed herself so very thankful. Those who attended the funeral from out of town were, Mrs. M.E. Chapman of Decalb County, Ind.,Mrs. Carrie Fairfield and C.C. Foote, wife and children.
