Johannes Jacob died 4 May in Black River, Lorain Co., Ohio at the age of 44y 9m 15d. He was born in Unterbreilsbach, bei Bacha, Sachsen Weimar, and came in 1848 to this land with his parents and sisters. His illness was nephritis, from which he suffered for four long months, but he bore his pain with Christian fortitude. He is survived by a grieving widow, 2 children, father, 4 brothers, a sister, and many friends. Brother Hele preached the funeral sermon to a numerous congregation; text John 11, 25. A. C. J.
