Mezlak, 68, of Sandusky, were held today at 1 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, with the D.A.V. Chapter 20 conducting full military honors. The John R. Dovin Funeral Home, Lorain, was in charge of arrangements. He died Sunday, March 8 of a heart attack. He lived in Lorain most of his life before moving to the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home, Sandusky, 14 years ago. He was an Army veteran of World War 11. A cement finisher by trade, he worked for many years with his late father as a private contractor. He was a former member of St. Vitus, Lorain, and attended SS Peter and Paul Church, Sandusky Mr. Mexlak belonged to Amvets' Post 17, Sandusky, and Amvets' Post 47, Lorain, D.A.V. Chapter 20, Knights of Columbus Council 637, and the Hungarian Young Men's Society. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Katherine) Kaye of Lorain, and JoAnne White of Clairmont, Calif.; three brothers, Steve, Frank, and John, all of Lorain.
