Helen Schiets, 88, member of church
  LORAIN - Helen C. Schiets, 88, of Lorain, died Saturday, April 10, 1993, at 
St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center, Lorain, following a brief illness.
  She was born April 3, 1905, in Kent and had lived in Lorain since 1970.
  Mrs. Schiets was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Lorain; and St. 
Joseph Hospital Auxilliary.
  Survivors include her nephews, including James, Daniel and Timothy Smith, 
all of Lorain; and niece, Roberta Seeman of Kent. She was preceded in death by 
her husband, Randall in 1968; parents George and Anna Wise; sister, Winifred 
Smith in 1983; and brothers Joseph and Robert Wise, both in 1983, and Edward 
Wise in 1977.
  Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schwartz-Spence & Boyer Home 
for Funerals, 1124 Fifth St., Lorain. Services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in 
the funeral home, followed by 10 a.m. Mass as St. Peter Church, the Rev. 
Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick 
Cemetery, Kent.
